Welcome to the home page of the Building Conservation Register
The Register of Building Conservation Professionals allows clients to source trades,services and products that are associated with the conservation of our built environment at a local level. The register has been broken down into seven areas, this provides vernacular platforms for smaller contractors to promote their crafts and trades at the grass roots . Unlike other sites we are involved with our built environment on a day to day basis, we know that every business is different both in terms of services offered and interpretations of our heritage. We do not recommend or vet any advertiser within these pages, they all pay a fee to promote their services, we do however only allow services that we feel are associated with our country's heritage to advertise.
We have also broken down the register into regions, we feel that the loss of vernacular features is often due to trades and services being sourced from other areas, this is usually due to lack of knowledge of local trades available. Vernacular materials trades and styles should be maintained where ever possible.
